Shrine Mont is a place where people are more important than things; where prayer and reflection, rest and recreation are more important than appointments and tasks. It’s a place where people give thanks to God for his creation - from the beauty of the streams, flowers and wildlife which are at home here, to the people who come to this place to celebrate being part of the family of God.
Our 2008 retreat was April 11- 13. The keynoter was The Reverend Brian S. Suntken, Rector of Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson, Ohio. Brian is passionate about assisting congregations to take hold of their baptismal vows and to make disciples for Jesus. A talented speaker and teacher, he energized the group and helped us focus on our work particularly during the Interim season.
The retreat was again a wonderful experience, and we came back from the mountain refreshed, well fed and with a renewed sense of God's creation and the community of St. Paul's. Amen.
THANK YOU to the Parish Retreat committee: Lili and David Irving, Michaelle Justice, Susan Dowling, Nina Rodriguez, Bryan Appel, and the Rev. Kate Jenkins. We had a wonderful time and look forward to next year.
