Our Children and Worship

Godly Play at St. Paul's

Godly Play – Each Sunday the 9:00 and 11:15 services begin with a children's sermon and blessing followed by Godly Play, a Montessori-based curriculum.  Godly Play is designed for our 3-year-olds (who can sit quietly for 15 minutes without their parents) through 1st graders.  Children return to the service for Holy Eucharist, or can be picked up by a parent following the Morning Prayer service.  Godly Play is lead by our Godly Play certified teacher and assisted by an adult volunteer.

Children's Led Worship - This worship experience is designed for 2nd through 5th graders, it is held each Sunday September through May during the 9:00 and 11:15 services.  The service includes the readings, written at an appropriate grade level and other worship elements such as torches and the Prayers of the People. The participants are asked to lead the readings and the prayers. This service is designed to help children learn to be active participants in the worship service. They return to the church for Holy Eucharist with their parents.  Children’s Led Worship is led by a seminary student and assisted by an adult volunteer.
