We speak of wanting to leave a legacy for the next generation, but what does that mean, aside from a monetary legacy? An Italian folktale speaks of a cup that is passed from one generation to another. What has been put in your cup? The devotion of a mother, the love of a Creator, a thirst for justice, or something less positive? What would you like your cup to contain for the next generation? Are we destined to put back what we received? Using the lives of women from the Bible, medieval mystics, and contemporary women as our lens, we will explore these intriguing questions together.
ALL women are warmly invited to this year’s Women’s Retreat in the world famous Outer Banks of North Carolina, Friday, October 28th – Sunday, October 30th. Together, we’ll enjoy a weekend of food, fellowship, and fun. Invite a friend!
The cost of the weekend is $75 and scholarships are available. Please make checks payable to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with “Women’s Retreat” in the memo line. Complete the form below and return with payment to: The Rev. Kate Jenkins by October 16. Forms and checks can be left in Kate’s mailbox by the offices. You can also register online, but you will still need to bring in your check.

Parishioners describe why they love to participate in the annual Women's Retreat.
"A weekend of music, story, dialogue, reflection, relaxation and wonderful shared meals, all with interesting, fun-loving women of St. Paul's." - Kia Bentley
"As a newcomer to St Paul's I felt completely welcomed and embraced by everyone in the group. The hospitality and food were incredible. The ride down was a party in the van. I loved being part of a retreat that had a spiritual component in every moment -- the readings, the discussion groups, Prayer Yoga, singing, walking on the beach, and conversations at mealtime. The focus by Kate+ and Leslie on deepening our understanding of women in the Bible, with storytelling and imagination and prayer, was important in growing the spiritual community there and when we returned to St. Paul's again. I would recommend the retreat to anyone with a heart for spiritual awakening, and a desire for time away to open up to God." - Debbie Jones
"Each retreat has been different but significant. The most enjoyable aspect is meeting and sharing with other women regardless of age or previous friendships. It provides a safe haven to really let your hair down. Thanks much for the opportunity to do so." - Barbara Holley
