Live From Around the World

Glide, the Oldest Church in California, City Hall, and Chinatown!

Hey!

Today, after serving breakfast at Glide, we went to Mission Dolores. I thought it was very beautiful and really cool that it is the oldest church in California. We walked around for awhile and saw all the pretty flowers.

We took a tour of City Hall and talked to Mike Farrah, the Mayor of San Francisco’s senior political advisor. We asked him many questions about the city and we got a better understanding of all the things going on in San Francisco.

We also went to Chinatown today. It has been interesting to see all the different cultures in this city. It was a lot of walking and most we felt really cold, but I thought it was worth it.

Speaking of different cultures, we are staying in an international hostel and there are people staying here from all over the world. It is pretty loud sometimes, and hard to have a reflection time at night, but it is still fun! We met two nice young men from England who are traveling the world for nine months.

I am having so much fun here and I’m learning more and more everyday.

Bye, Chandler

Chandler
I miss you! I’m glad you are having such a good time, and learning so much about the different cultures in San Fransico.
How old are those two young men from England? Your Dad wants to know! We all send our love, including Bella, who misses you too. She has been swimming everyday in Deltaville, where the weather has been amazing, with blue skys and a cool breeze everyday. She has chased many rabbits, played with Bunches in the water, and taken boat rides in Crab Cake with Cameron at night.
Rest your feet and stay warm!
Love Mom
