Immediate Volunteer Need

Micah/Bright Beginnings Volunteer Opportunity (August 25, 2011)
The YMCA of Richmond has organized a Bright Beginnings shopping trip for 30 Woodville students and we are committed to making sure that each child and volunteer have a safe and enjoyable experience.

We are seeking volunteers for our Bright Beginnings Shopping Trip on Thursday, August 25th. Becoming a volunteer for this YMCA Bright Beginnings trip requires no more than a ready smile, a few hours of your time and the desire to help a Woodville Student! We need 40 volunteers to make this trip happen, thirty of which will be matched one-on-one with a child to shop for about $100 of back to school clothing. Another 10 volunteers are needed to fill various non-shopping roles such as a child safety monitor, check-out assistant and souvenir photo assistants. The trip will last approximately 2 1/2 hours from the time volunteers arrive.

If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer for this event, simply complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the Volunteer Information Form (DOWNLOAD THE VOLUNTEER FORM HERE)
  2. Return it to Carol Sabatino at Woodville School
  3. Show up by 3:00 p.m. at the Broad and Libbie Target Store on Thursday, August 25th (Remember to bring a photo ID).

Please read the attached documents for more details. Contact Carol Sabatino, Site Coordinator at Woodville Elementary School, if you have any questions at (804) 780-4009 or csabatino@cisofschools.org.

Here are more ways your help is needed:
