Parish Life

At St. Paul's, we love being together and, over the years, have struggled with the tension between caring for each other ("in-reach") and caring for our City and the world ("outreach"). While our parishioners celebrate our outreach, they yearn for more in-reach.

In our member survey, over 25% of the Parish asked for more help in "deepening their personal and spiritual relationship with God" and in "discovering their own gifts for ministry and service."  Inventory Results Hartford Report

One of our most successful past programs in building fellowship and deepening spiritual lives was Disciples of Christ in Community.  Over an eight-year period in the 1990's, several hundred people participated in DOCC.  Many remain close friends.

Today we seek to grow our Church into a larger, more diverse community.  Yet as we grow Sunday attendance, we also want to grow in our day-to-day relationships.

We pray that new people coming to St. Paul's
will experience God's hospitality and then share it with one another.
