St. Paul's serves as an urban church for all people through core ministries:
Worship-celebrating God's love for all creation;
Parish Life-offering hospitality to all persons;
Education-learning through scripture, tradition and reason; and
Outreach-extending God's radical hospitality to all humanity.

While 88% of our survey participants are satisfied with St. Paul's ministry programs, parishioners are also concerned about St. Paul's being over-committed and too programmed. One observed, "We behave too much like Martha and too little like Mary."
St. Paul's feels the tension between two important priorities:
To grow our membership, and
To grow our discipleship.
We seek both, but we are uncomfortable with recruiting new members through traditional evangelism. We need our future Rector to help us address this tension.
