LUNCHES Members of St. Paul’s and over 50 other area churches serve a seated lunch in the parish hall from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm and again from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm each weekday from Ash Wednesday (Feb. 6) through Wednesday of Holy Week (March 19).  Lunches – a choice of either hot or cold plate – are served quickly at a cost of $7.00, which includes drink and tax.  A variety of desserts is available for $2.00. 

TAKEOUT Takeout orders for both hot and cold plates and desserts are available continuously from 11:45 am to 1:30 pm.

RESERVATIONS Lunch reservations for groups of six or more may be made by calling 643-3589.  Reservations should be received no later than 10:30 am the day of the reservation..

Lenten Preaching Service

The Rev. Dr. Peter J. Flamming

Dr. Peter James Flamming is no stranger to the St. Paul’s Lenten services. This is the seventeenth time he has participated in the Lenten series. For twenty-three years he served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Richmond, retiring at the close of 2006. He now teaches Preaching at the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. He has the Masters and Doctors from Southwestern Baptist Seminary. His honors are many. In 1999 he was chosen by Style Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Richmond leaders of the twentieth century. In October of 2003 he was chosen to preach the sermon on the State of Virginia Sunday at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. A graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, he was placed in their Hall of Leaders in 2007.

Lenten Dinners at 6:30 p.m. Marilyn and Barry Kirkpatrick host dinner in honor of Dr. Peter James Flamming, at their home, 4206 Stuart Avenue.  Mary Holly and Rick Bigelow are co-hosts.  Mary Holly is taking reservations at 285-2598.
