Our Common Assembly with Ross Mackenzie

Our Common Assembly with The Reverend Dr. Ross Mackenzie. The Rev. Dr. Ross Mackenzie, a retired Episcopal priest, returned to Richmodn with his wife, Flora, after 26 years outside of Virginia. During most of that time, he was Director of the Department of Religion at the Chautauqua Institution in western New York. Dr. Mackenzie has translated or written over 20 theological books, lectured internationally, and founded the American chapter of the Ecumenical Scoiety of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Advent Choral Service

The Great 'O' Antiphons

Advent Choral Service of Great ‘O’ Antiphons, Sunday, December 14, 7:30 p.m.  St. Paul’s (11:15 a.m.) Choir will sing music by 16-20th century British composers Byrd, Whyte, Gibbons, Howells, Poston, and Mathias, and the Great ‘O’ Antiphons.  There will also be Advent hymns, lessons and prayers.  Make this contemplative service part of your Advent journey as you look forward to the arrival (adventus) of Christmas.  The church garage will be open for parking.

Families, youth, children, adults welcome!

Families, youth, children, and adults are invited to ‘Share the Joy’ with residents of Westminster Canterbury and The Virginia Home through the singing of Christmas Carols. Participants should meet at St. Paul’s at 3PM. Ask Bryan (643-3589, ext. 5419) for details or sign-up in the elevator!  Adults will be able to leave early for Foyer Dinner.

Looking for someone to watch your children while you attend the Foyer Group dinner or get in some last-minute shopping after the ‘Share the Joy’ caroling event? Leave your child(ren) with the St. Paul’s Youth (and some mentors) from 5:30 to 9:00 pm on Dec. 21. We ask for a $5 donation per child per hour and will gladly accept any additional donation you wish to offer.  This fundraiser supports the activities of the St. Paul’s Youth Ministry.
