Adult Forum: Moral Decisions in Matters of Death & Dying
with Timothy F. Sedwick
This Sunday, we welcome Timothy F. Sedgwick from Virginia Theological Seminary as our guest preacher and forum leader. This forum is the first in a new series about the Christian faith and the end of life. We will explore the denial of death and what the church and its members must address before, during, and after the crises of decision-making. Sedgwick is the Clinton S. Quin Professor of Christian Ethics and Vice-President and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria. His own work has focused on Anglican thought and the Christian life. His writings in this area include The Christian Moral Life (1999/2009), Sacramental Ethics (1987/2008), and Preaching What We Practice with David Schlafer (2007). Sedgwick most recently edited essays by Richard A. Norris for a collection titled The Business of All Believers: Reflections on Leadership (2009).
