An Outreach Invitation: Community Action Poverty Simulation

Community Action Poverty Simulation
June 14

Where: Peter Paul Development Center - 1708 N 22ND Street, Richmond, VA.

Realities of Poverty: an Opportunity to Understand is the theme of a Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) that will be hosted by ACTS (Area Congregations Together In Service) and PPDC (Peter Paul Development Center) on Saturday, June 14, 9 am - 12 noon.

CAPS is a simulation design tool that allows individuals to role-play the lives of low-income families.  It allows participants to look at poverty from a variety of angles and to better understand what it might look like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive month to month with limited resources.

St. Paul's and all other ACTS congregations are invited to participate in this learning event.  It will help us learn more about the issues of poverty and will bring awareness to the work of ACTS and PPDC.

Please register by calling Bev Jeanette at 780-1195.
