St. Paul’s Vestry to Match Funds for Victim’s Relief

TORNADO VICTIMS RELIEF FUND From the Diocese of Virginia:  The Episcopal Church in Southern Virginia has set up a fund for immediate relief for victims of the tornados in the Suffolk area.  An initial emergency relief fund of $10,000 from the diocese is being administered through St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 213 North Main Street, Suffolk, VA 23434.  The rector of St. Paul's, the Rev. Dr. Keith Emerson, is serving as relief coordinator for the Diocese of Southern Virginia.  Relief contributions may be made payable to St. Paul's Episcopal Church and marked "Emergency Relief Fund." 

All contributions will go directly to aid victims of the tornado disaster.  For further information please call St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 757-539-2478 or e-mail . You may recall that the coordinator of these efforts, the Rev. Dr. Keith Emerson, is the former rector of Church of the Epiphany, Richmond. We encourage members of the Diocese of Virginia to make donations as noted above. Please keep all of those affected by this storm in your prayers.

Suffolk Virginia Victim's Relief Fund-Vestry Match:

The Vestry has voted to match donations received from St. Paul's members using its Vestry Disaster Relief Fund.

A  "dollar for dollar" match has been approved by the Vestry, not to exceed $1,500.00. Please make your checks payable to St. Paul's Church with a notation that it is for "Va. Relief Fund" and place in the collection plate during the month of May. One total check will be sent to the Diocese of Southern Virginia on behalf of St. Paul's Church, Richmond, Va. Please keep all of those affected by this storm in your prayers.

 

Myanmar Cyclone Victim's Relief Fund-Vestry Match:

Due to the enormity of the crisis in Myanmar, the Vestry has voted to match donations received from St. Paul's members using its Vestry Disaster Relief Fund.

A "two dollar to dollar" match has been approved by the Vestry, not to exceed $5,000.00. Please make your checks payable to St. Paul's Church with a notation that it is for "Myanmar Relief Fund" and place in the collection plate during the month of May. One total check will be sent to the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund on behalf of St. Paul's Church, Richmond, Va. Please keep all of those affected by this catastrophe in your prayers.
