Downtown Adventure #1

On Wednesday, April 21, St. Paul's newly forming Downtown Mission Team gathered for dinner at Aziza's on Main. Twenty-seven "downtown adventurers" gathered and recounted St. Paul's journey to this exciting time -- the growth of our Downtown residential neighborhood, parishioners' enthusiasm for meeting our new neighbors, and Wallace's joyful ministry to all people.

With Wallace's encouragement, we reflected on the Gospel story of two dejected disciples who encountered the spirit of Jesus in a stranger on the road to Emmaus and rediscovered their own purpose in life. We recalled how strangers have affirmed us on our life journeys. And, finally, Buford Scott invited us to another Downtown Adventure. A few photos from the evening are available in this album.
