Prayers of the People  (Standing)                                       
In the course of the silence after each bidding, the People offer their own prayers, either silently or aloud.

Leader:     I ask your prayers for God’s people throughout the world; for our Bishops; for this gathering; and for all ministers and people.

(Anglican)  For Rowan, Archbishop of Canterbury; Bermuda (Extra-Provincial to Canterbury).  

(Nation)    Katharine, our Presiding Bishop.

(Diocese)   Peter, David, and Shannon, our Bishops; St. Mary’s (Arlington); St. Matthew’s, (Sterling);St. Thomas, McLean; Special Diocesan Congregations in need: Epiphany (Herndon); St. Stephen’s (Heathsville); St. Margaret’s (Woodbridge); The Falls Church (Falls Church).

(St. Paul’s)       The Micah and Emmaus programs; Father Erasto, the Carpenter’s Kids, and the people of Mwitikira, Tanzania; and St. Paul’s & Father Joseph in Kumasi, Ghana.

At St. Paul’s: For the birth of James Irwin Cooke III, grandson of Lynn & Dan Evans; for the men and women of our armed forces who have selflessly served the United States at home and abroad.
